At the heart of Briza is the vision of Chef Moisés Hernandez, whose culinary journey began in his native El Salvador and grew through nearly two decades of restaurant leadership in Memphis. Guided by his roots, Moisés blends global inspiration with precise technique, creating dishes that reflect both his heritage and his passion for bringing people together through food.
Located at Crosstown Concourse in the heart of Midtown Memphis, Briza is built on the theme Land – Sushi – Sea. The restaurant celebrates the coast brought to the city, with a menu that highlights inventive sushi rolls, fresh wood-fired seafood, thoughtfully prepared entrées, and prime steaks. From a crisp Seared Scallop Salad to a broiled Rosemary Ribeye, every plate is crafted with care and balance.
Briza is led by Moisés and his wife, Maggie Murphy-Hernandez, who bring more than a decade of experience in fine dining hospitality. Together, they’ve shaped Briza into a place where food and service go hand in hand—where guests feel both welcomed and celebrated.
